I don’t know about you, but I spend more time on Instagram stories than I even do scrolling through Instagram. I’d bet you do too! If you aren’t already utilizing Instagram stories to grow your following, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to attract new followers (and potential customers!) There are many ways to use Instagram stories to grow your following, engage with your new followers and turn them into raving fans.
Use Instagram Stories Stickers
There are only so many ways that you can attract new followers using Instagram stories. The easiest way is to use the Instagram stories stickers that are provided.
Instagram Stories Location Sticker
Using the location hashtag is a great way to get new viewers to your stories. This is especially helpful if you have a brand or business that has a specific location.

The Instagram stories hashtag sticker can basically be used on every single story you do. Each time you do this, you will get viewers who have searched that hashtag. Hashtags aren’t just for posts anymore! So be sure to use hashtags as much as you can when using your stories.
Keep Your New Followers Engaged
As you begin to use these features, you will see that your viewers will increase. This is going to feel really exciting! However, you don’t want them to just view that one story. Make sure you are consistently adding to your Instagram stories, and sharing lots of value. Value means anything that is entertaining, educational or inspirational. This way, if someone decides to click through they will be attracted to you immediately. Utilize the slider, polls, and questions that can be used as well. Your followers want their voices to be heard, and these little tools will make a huge difference!

If there are any brands that can be seen in your story, make sure to tag them! I always try to make it a point to give brands or other users a little shout out. Often, they will take a screenshot of your story and share your handle on theirs.

I absolutely love the Instagram stories highlights feature! A great way to grow your following with Instagram stories is to keep them around forever. Create highlights that provide value for your new potential followers. Hopefully, when new users come across your account, they will binge watch your highlights and get to know you!
